I've decided to come up with posts dedicated to Mr.Assimo from Bubble Gang.He is one of my favorite impersonations of Michael V! Here's the first one that I've picked.


















Mr.Assimo : Hi

Receptionist : Hello po, sir.Papasok po ba kayo?

Mr.Assimo :Ay, hindi.Lalabas! Kaya lang paatras ako maglakad.Pinaglihi ako kay Michael Jackson. Hindi,hindi,papasok ako.

Receptionist: Sorry po, magswi-swimming po ba kayo?

Mr.Assimo: Actually, etong attire kong to pang mountain climbing at pang ice skating.Iyon talaga yung gusto kong gawin eh,etong attire na to. Magswi-swimming din syempre.Resort eto eh, ano ka ba?

Recpetionist : Overnight po ba?
Mr.Assimo: Sana.

Receptionist : Kukuha po kayong room?

Mr.Assimo : Huwag na lang, kailan pa ba ng room? Dun na lang ako sa beach, sa tabing dagat.Kakausapin ko ung mga sirena.Alam ko ung lenggwahe nila eh.Nagkakaintindihan kami, gusto ko iyon eh. Oo,kukuha na lang akong room, ikaw naman.

Receptionist: Kasi po,meron po kaming estapa suite o villa lang.Ano pog gusto niyo?

Mr.Assimo: Ay,talagang bigyan akong choice noh! Isang pangmahirap, isang pangmayaman.Tingin mo di ko afford ung pang-mayaman? At linalang-lang mo yung villa, ha?Tingin mo di ko kaya?Minamata mo ko? Matapobre ka?! Minamata mo ko, ha? Ganyan talaga,masama ugali mo?

Receptionist : Hindi po sir,sorry po.Remind ko lang po,trunks and boardshorts lang po pwede sa swimming pool.Bawal po ordinary shorts lang.

Mr.Assimo : Ayan ka na naman sa ordinary ordinary lang!

Five Things I love about "The Mistress"

I don't know if I am the only person who hasn't probably seen "One More Chance." Even if everybody else in the country could talk about Popoy and Basha, I would still be guilty for not being able to watch the movie!Maybe it's because  I was not a fan of John Lloyd or Bea Alonzo..but that is until I saw "The Mistress."

1) A love song simply says, "reunited and it feels so good." Indeed, even if I was not a fan before, i simply cannot deny the fact that they really have good chemistry.When I read this article that talks about the press conference of the movie, John Lloyd was asked about why he thinks their tandem really makes a strong mark until this time.If I'm not mistaken, he said that it was because they were not pretentious about the real score between them.They did not try to please the fans by pretending that they were a couple.I really admire them for that.Unlike any other loveteams here in showbizness who fool us into believing that that there is something even if there is not.

2) Refreshing plot.I know that it prior to this film, there is the "No other woman" which is a blockbuster movie about a mistress too.but I guess what I like about this film is that it's not just a love triangle.There are a lot of twists in the story and it the characters are more interesting since they are all related in a certain way.It also goes to show that maybe the FIlipino audience need more films that can offer something that is relatable at the present time.

3) Chasing cars,although not literally! Can I just say how much I love the song and Snow Patrol.Making it as theme song of the film surprised me in a good way!

4) John Lloyd' s superb acting skills ! My favorite scene in the movie ---Since Bea is a mistress and her thursdays are occupied for the benefactor, John Lloyd says that he is going to wait until the time comes that he would be Bea's Mr.Everyday! :)

5)The ending.I've heard some people argue that the ending is not good.Honestly, I am a sucker for happy endings myself but I like the ending because it makes sense.You can't just expect two people to always end up together just like in other cheesy romantic films.Also, I guess the beauty there is that it's not an unhappy ending.It's just that it was the suitable ending after all what happened.Lastly, I personally feel that it is also open to other interpretations.Maybe they would end up together, or maybe not.It depends on how you want to interpret it. :)

Monday
-Johanna asks her dad where he as yesterday.When Marco said he spent the night at the office, Johanna gave another maldita line."Are you sure sa office ka natulog,hindi sa ibang bahay?" PLUS 10.
-Daniel looks for Katerina in the bus terminal with a picture in hand.Plus 7 just because I can see the people all over the place looking at him because they are shooting this scene haha.
-Once Katerina and Yaya Perls arrive in Legazpi,they both see Daniel inside another bus.Minus 5.To the extreme level lang ang serendipity effect ha.
-Katrina  says, "Bakit siya nasa bus?" Minus 5.You know the real reason,please.
-Emily arrives at Marco's house and witnesses Marco and Jeane come out of the bedroom.She proclaims, "Nakita ko na!" Plus 5.
-Nathan and Donya Margaret talk about what happened in Nathan's room:
 Nathan: Para pong dinalaw ako ni Mommy.
 Donya Margaret: Minulto ka?   Plus 10!!
-At the end of the episode,Donya Margaret says "Congratulations!" to Jeane/Jane for ruining the wedding plan of Marco and Emily.Plus 7.

Tuesday
-Daniel kidnaps Tomas for a moment and nearly kills him by using his car.Hmmm.I don't know if I like this part or not.
-After that incident, Tomas comes home to report to his boss.Miguel asks, "Bakit ang panghi?"PLUS 9.Muntik ka ba namang sagasaan, tingnan natin kung di ka umihi sa takot haha.
-Emily arrives at her office for her first day at work.With that, there are hidden cameras installed for Miguel's entertainment.Plus 7.
-Emily and Marco reconcile and made a deal not to tell people about this.Plus 3.
-Daniel comes to the house of a lady she met.At first, he doesn't know that this lady is the friend of Yaya Perl.Minus 5.Again, kaloka ang serendipity moment
-Daniel looks at Katerina's picture and does a monolgue.He doesn't know that Katerina is actually listening to him outside.Minus 7.Predictable.

Wednesday
-Daniel and Katerina reunite. Like/Dislike?
-Yaya Perls introduces Daniel as Omnat, Ninay/Katerina's cousin.Funny Name.Plus 4.
-Daniela and Katerina tour around Albay.They decide to go to Misibis Bay spontaneously.Plus 7.I find this scene funny because you just can't go to a luxurious resort as if it's a park you can go to freely.At the same time, I also like this part because it's a happy moment (which is unusual for the couple).
-Ate Henya says, "Walang lihim na natatago habangbuhay." Plus 4.
-Donya Margaret gets the glass that Jeane/Jane used in order to get a DNA result.Plus 7.

Thursday
-Katerina wakes up in the middle of the night because of her bad dream,so she goes outside.Daniel asks if she's crying, and she even denies it.Minus 10.Katerina-trait of denying.
-When Daniel bids his goodbye for the moment,Yaya Perls asks Daniel for pasalubong.She asks for "sabong pampaputi." Plus 10 because it effectively displays most of the Filipinos' desire to have fairer complexion.
-Katerina wants to work and the lady suggests that she should work in Embarcadero.Plus 8 because I know Embarcadero haha.
-Daniel gives another mock theft for Johanna.Minus 10.Why does he need to threaten them  just to prove his point???
-Miguel stalks Emily, and he says, "Ganda talaga ng Emily ko." Plus 7.Creepy and wrong but how can you ignore a dyosa?

Friday
-Nathan and Daniel fight again about Katerina.Minus 10.A fight again?
-Donya Margaret shows the DNA result proving that Jeane is actally Jane.She says, "You are Jane Montenegro, back from the dead." Plus 10.
-Jane  admits it but refuses to announce it to anybody else for safety reasons.plus 5.
-Nathan comes to Daniel's room and freaks out.Ate Henya comes in and Nathan threatens her by saying that he would kill both Daniel and Katerina,once he sees them.Plus 6 because the acting is really good.
-Once he arrives home, Nathan says, "Akin si Katerina.Akin ang buhay niya.Akin ang puso niya." Plus 5.For some weird reason,I kinda like this line because it's not another confrontation with Daniel.\
- Nathan becomes really furious and he rejects Jeane's efforts to make him better because accoridng to him, she is not his mom.This leads to the highlight of the episode- Jeane finally admits that she is Jane because she can't bear the thought of Nathan pushing her away like a stranger.Everyone in that room cries during this moment of revelation.Plus 10.

Tuesday
-  Tomas asks Johanna to bring food for Katerina, but Johanna gives Katerina a cold treatment (as usual.)Because of this, Katerina decides to fight back,as in literally.Plus 6.It's definitely time for her to defend herself.
-Nathan is being possessive and dramatic,as usual: "Si Katerina ang buong buhay ko." Minus 5.Althought it is true that Nathan is obsessed with Katerina, I think we can use a little break from Nathan proclaiming to the world that Katerina is only his property.
-Johanna asks Nathan to go over the house and bring some food.Nathan obliges without knowing who the person is.And tadaaaaaa ....it's KATARINA.Inevitable.Minus 3.

Wednesday
-Nathan finally finds Katerina,and it's quite funny how he would ask something  as if he's the best husband ever: 1) "Na-miss mo ba ko?" 2)"Bakit parang takot na takot ka sa kin?Di kita sasaktan."
Plus 4.
-As of the moment,Tomas owns Guidotti Imports and he comes to Emily's home and offers her a job.Daniel is also present at that moment so Tomas teases him about a job offering.He says, "Pwede naman kita i-hire.Open pa naman ang janitorial position." Plus 8.Epic line.
-Nathan rapes Katerina.Of course, there are no words to describe how immoral rape is, but, I think that this scene was needed to lead other events that would happen in the story.
-Katerina fights back Nathan at the end.Plus 10.At last, Katerina does something to improve her situation.
-,Katerina asks help from Yaya Perls. Plus 6.Yaya Perls to the rescue!

Thursday
-Marco and Emily argue about Daniel's actions:
Marco:So yung ginagawa nya,di masama?Nang-aagaw ng asawa?
Emily:Mali si Daniel,pero mali ka din.Ang pananakit na ginagawa mo ki Katerina.Plus 5.Both of them give valid arguments,I guess.It is wrong to steal one's husband/wife,but if that person is suffering from an abusive relationship, it's another story.


Friday
-Donya Margaret gives a dramatic statement at the right time.Plus 6.She says, "Madaling maghusga dahil nasa labas kayo."
-In return, Ate Henya gives something to ponder on.Plus 8.She says,"Kahit kailan, di magiging tama ang mali."
-Katerina files for annulment.Plus 10.
-Katerina sends a letter to Daniel asking him to stay away from her. Her letter says, "Sana huwag mo na ako hanapin.Hindi na ako pwedeng sumama sa iyo."Minus 6.Nice attempt pero chos, sino linoloko ni Katerina?!
-Donya Margaret asks Jean/Jane to sleep over at their house.Plus 10.BEST SCENE FOR THE DAY.Slumber party naman ang peg ni donya parang sweet sixteen.
-Daniel rides the Penafrancia Bus.Plus 6 just because there really is a penafrancia bus in bicol haha.
-Nathan is having a bad dream,then Jeane/Jane enters and comforts him by touching his ears.Plus 8.No matter how hard Jeane's efforts in pretending to be someone else, her maternal instinct just wins every time.

-The video that Enzo found which shows his dad telling him different things to learn about his life.Plus 5.I love the fact that the video is not overly dramatic.

Wednesday
-Dok Carlo asks, "Okay lang ba na hawakan ko ang paa mo?" Cute question,dok. Plus 5
-Charie calls her dad to report about her mom and Doc Carlo.The kid who is forever loyal to her dad.Plus 5
-Charie says, "Nagseselos ka noh!" And her dad Jonas replies, "Ako,magseselos sa nognog na yon?!" Denial factor pa talaga.Minus 1
-Dok Carlo throws some quote to which Kat-Kat replies, "Dok,parang narinig ko na yan.Ki Lito Lapid yan noh?" Again, bringing up Lito Lapid just shows the influence of the actor on their lives.Plus 4
-Kat-Kat's bestfriend gives her some advice: "Give love a chance." Simple statement but it sure does make a lot of sense.Plus 5
-Jonas falls on the mini fountain while he and Enzo are hanging out on the park.At this scene, he shows his fear. I can relateeee.Plus 3
-Enzo makes fun of the situation to easen up the mood: "Siguro brad,takot ka lang maligo kaya lagi kang madungis." Plus 6

Thursday
-When Charie gets sick,Kat-Kat and Jonas take care of her.And at one moment, they almost kiss.Ibalik ang pag-ibig haha.Plus 3
-Jonas finally confesses to Enzo : "Brad,aaminin ko sa'yo, mahal ko si Kathy." Finally, after 10000years,no more denying! Plus 4
-Enzo expresses his concern upon hearing this revelation: Plus 6.
   Jonas: Dati yun,gago pa ko nun eh.
   Enzo: Eh bakit ngayon,hindi na ba?
   Jonas: Gago pa rin pero tina-try ko na magbago.    (I love this line.)
-Dok Carlo asks about Kat-Kat's sprain on the ankle and makes the most out of the situation. "Kung okay na, di pwede na tayong kumain sa labas?" Consistent much ang pangungulit ni dok ha! Plus 3
-During their date :
  Kat-Kat: Dok,bakit ako?
  Dok Carlo: Bakit hindi ikaw?  (Korny na kung korny pero panalo!)PLUS 10.
-Enzo enters the office and interrupts the meeting.He declares,"Simula sa araw na ito,ako na ang boss ng Montereal.Approve? " Plus 6.He doesn't fail to show his childish side despite proclaiming something as serious as this.
-Dok Carlo and Jonas brief moment:
  Dok Carlo: Pare...
  Jonas: Kailan ba tayo naging pare? Plus 7.Jonas always makes sure to express his dislike for Dok Carlo.
- Kat-kat and Jonas talk about Dok Carlo:
  Kat-kat: Siya (Dok Carlo) ang di gagawa ng mabuti,sure ka?!
  Jonas: At least alam mo honest ako,gago ako. Plus 4.

Friday
-Enzo shows that he stands by his decision to control the company despite his Tita Mildred's objection.
"Tita,mahal na mahal kita pero kailangan kong gawin ito."Plus 7.
-Kat-kat gives her  advice to Enzo regarding his decision: "Okay naman na tumulong ka sa kapwa mo, pero kung ikakahamak mo, di na ata tama yun." Plus 7.
-Tita Mildred to Enzo: "Grounded ka!" Plus 4.I know that she's being mean in here but the reason why I like this part is because it's funny how she still thinks of Enzo as a real kid.

I only had enough time last week to write about Tuesday’s episode. I hope this is forgivable if I say that I missed Monday’s episode because I watched “The Dark Knight Rises.” :p

Tuesday

·       After braving the storm in the name of love, Gino finally arrives at San Isidro. But the first thing he sees is Jao caressing Mikay’s cheeks! He calls Mikay’s name. They start to fight, and then, Gino says, “ Hindi ko na nga inisip sarili ko eh!” Hmm, I’m still betting on you, Gino, but nagbubuhat ka ng sarili mong bangko! Minus 2.

·       Mikay is still acting clueless as she argues with Gino. She says, “Hindi ako si Zenyda Zeva!” Best. Line. Of. The. Episode. Plus 7.

·       “Para kang bato, Mikay, ang manhid mo!” LOL, he actually picked up a rock to hand to Mikay. Plus 1.

·       Gino’s confession. Not gonna lie, I liked the way the lines were delivered. Plus, the reasons he gave were… cute. :p

-        “Gusto ko yung parati kang ‘huh?’ sa tuwing hihirit ako.” Plus 4.

-        “Gusto ko ung bangs mo, gusto ko ung bangs mo, lahat ,gusto ko ikaw!”Plus 4.

-        “Kahit dukutin mo pa tong mga mata ko, nasa iyo pa rin tingin ko.” LOL at the cheesiness of this one!!! Plus 5.

·       Jao talks with a priest about sacrifice. No comment.

·       So, Jao and Mikay are now on their way back to Manila. They’re riding on the back of a pick-up truck. They see Gino walking so Mikay asks the driver to stop. (Yiieeeee!) Jao hurries to assist Mikay to hop off the truck. Ok, they’re building up tension! Plus 0.5

·       Another awkward and tension-filled moment occurs as both Gino and Jao tries to open the car door for Mikay. Plus 0.5

·       Because of his promise to his mother, Gino’s feelings for Mikay, and his responsibilities to Yangdon, Jao decides to give way to Gino. Aww. But then, he warns Gino that he’s going to keep an eye on him with an “I’m watching you” hand-to-eyes gesture which made me cringe because it’s too…corny. Ugh. Minus 1.
